• Handle emergencies, guest complaints, equipment problems, product shortage, and team member problems as per the company standards and procedures.

• Communicate any shift problems to immediate supervisor.

• Train and develop team members on assigned shift as directed by immediate supervisor.

• Travel to the bank to make deposits, pick up change, and deposit slips.

• Supervise and operate the store independently if needed in the absence of the Store Manager for prolonged periods of time (e.g. vacations).

• Initiate non-conformance investigations to document and track product/manufacturing/laboratory OOS, RCI, and CAPA issues.

• Recommend and implement in-process and laboratory improvements for compliance and cGMP.

• Conduct investigations with Quality Assurance to maintain laboratory according to GLP standards and ensure the laboratory is ISO compliant.

• Perform internal/QS supplier/CAPA follow-up audits, procedure audits, and data audits for compliance with FDA regulations and global requirements and review documentation in preparation for inspections.

• Participate in qualification studies (IQ, OQ, PQ) on equipment and complete metrology tasks such as routine hardware calibrations.

• Perform microbiological aseptic testing in ISO-5 environments, LAF hoods, and BSC hoods, which includes sample transfer and plating of samples.

• Perform routine bioburden testing (membrane filtration and plate count) per USP <61> and endotoxin testing (turbidimetric and gel clot) per USP <85> on product and water samples.

• Identify bacterial microorganisms and fungi present in environmental sampling through microscopy, gram-staining, and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS).

• Sterilization and decontamination of bio-hazardous material through autoclave runs and disposal of hazardous waste.

• Melting and preparation of agar for media pours and use of reasoner’s 2A agar, sabourand dextrose agar, tryptic soy agar, Columbia blood agar, and M-Endo agar.

• Depyrogenation of glassware to ensure equipment is endotoxin free.

• Use of air displacement pipettes, positive displacement pipettes, repeater pipettes, solid media pH probes, and liquid pH probes.

• Improvement and development of Excel documents with macros and pivot tables to improve workflow and data entry.

• Testing and validation work with USP biological indicators such as Bacillus atrophaeus and Geobacillus stearothermophilus.
